I’m writing a book for the popular “For Dummies” brand by Wiley, Twitter Application Development for Dummies, #TADD for short.
While doing research for the book I compiled a brief timeline of Twitter’s company history. I was about to remove it from my notes when I realized it was kind of interesting, and I might like to refer to it later. So, I’m throwing it up on the blog for you to enjoy. 🙂

Hi Dusty,
Nice job on the “For Dummies” book – well done.
I am trying to find the example source code in the book somewhere online, so I won’t have to retype it all. Can you tell me where I can find it?
I am a retired developer with 40+ years experience. I am really enjoying learning all of the new technology freely available on the internet these days.
Thanks for the book. All the best to you in the future.
